Ozone for irrigation - agriculture
Ozone generator to protect and improve your crop. It also prevents clogging in drippers that are due to biofilm.
Use of ozone in irigation line
Advantages and benefits of using ozone in irrigation pipes. Injecting ozone gas into the irrigation pipe provides important benefits to farmers. This revolutionary technique significantly improves the irrigation water quality, and your plants will thank you for it. Ozone disinfects the water, pipes, and soil, eliminates pathogens, and reduces pollutants, providing an extra boost of oxygen that your plants will quickly notice. It also keeps the pipes free from biofilm, reducing clogs in pipes, drippers, and filters. A technique that does not require storing chemicals or consuming labor time.

3 Reasons to irrigate with ozone
A correct ozone treatment in your irrigation line generates important benefits
1. Reduction of diseases and improvement of the water quality
Ozone is a powerful disinfectant gas. Mixed with irrigation water, it eliminates pathogens, and prevents the spread of diseases through water to the crop. Reduces losses and deterioration of crops. Ozone also reduces COD, BOD, turbidity, color, odor, suspended solids, dissolved solids, oxidizes and dilutes organic matter.
The quality of your harvest depends on the quality of the irrigation water.
2. Boost your crop, with an extra supply of oxygen and ozone
By injecting ozone into the irrigation pipe we increase the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the irrigation water. More than 90% of the injected gas is pure oxygen. After performing its function, ozone is transformed into oxygen. An extra supply of oxygen in your irrigation water will be very well received by the plant (more vigor and energy). Within a few days of treating with ozone you will notice the results.
3. Eliminate blockages in drippers, pipes, and filters with ozone
Ozone dilutes organic matter very easily, especially when it adheres to irrigation pipes. With a correct ozone treatment, your pipes will remain free of biofilm. Save time and money by reducing blockages in filters and drippers. Results are seen within a few days.
No chemicals
Ozone is neither stored nor transported. It is a gas that is generated on site using an ozone generator, air and electricity. The ozone equipment takes air from the atmosphere, it concentrates the oxygen up to 95% purity. Oxygen (O2) is converted into ozone (O3) through electrical discharges. Save on chemical products.
No labor
The ozone generator has an automatic and autonomous operation, that is, once installed, the system is responsible for generating ozone, injecting it into the pipe and controlling the amount of ozone desired at any time, without the need to spend time on hand. work or workers. The system works fully automatically.
Ecological
In addition, ozone does not accumulate in the plant, the fruit, or the soil. Our Ozone generators for agricultural irrigation have a certificate for organic farming.
What type of ozone equipment is suitable?
1. What kind of ozone generator?
The ozone generator for agricultural irrigation must have an Oxygen Concentrator. This will allow you to achieve high ozone concentrations, enabling rapid disinfection, purification, and oxygenation. The determination of the ozone generator is mainly based on the water flow to be treated and its quality.
2. How much Ozone do I need?
The first thing is to know the Irrigation Flow. We recommend 1gO3/h of "real" ozone for every m3/h of irrigation water,
If you have 35m3/h of irrigation, you will need 35gO3/h of ozone. However, the dose can be raised to 1.5 ppm for highly contaminated water, and lowered to 0.5 ppm for better quality water.
3. Which ozone control?
If you want to control the amount of ozone injected into your crops or have multiple irrigation sectors with different flow rates and pressures, we recommend an Automatic Control with Redox measurement. This ensures the system adjusts power and maintains a constant ozone level in irrigation. If you also wish to monitor and control the system from your mobile device, you will need equipment with Remote Control.
4. Do I need a contact tower?
The equipment has a pump and a Venturi that are used to inject it into the pressurized irrigation line.
If the equipment has a contact Tower it will allow homogenizing the ozone dilution, and it will also provide a minimum contact time. If your water has some quality, you can replace the tower with a Static Mixer, and save some money. Still, if your economy allows it, do not hesitate to buy a contact tower equipment.
5. Do I need an ozone leak sensor?
For the safety of the operators and the equipment itself, it is very important that the ozone generator you buy has a Ozone Leak Meter. Ozone is a powerful oxidant, and can harm people and equipment inside the room where the ozone generator is located. Safety first and for all.
What Ozone equipment do I need?
Select the ozone generator model based on the flow to be treated and the range of equipment that best suits your needs. The following table is based on the application of 1 ppm for each m3/h of irrigation flow.
