Ozone in Bottled Water
Ozone Generators for Bottled Water Disinfection
Use of ozone in in Bottled Water Plants
More and more companies are engaged in the commercialization of refreshing beverages based on water, meaning filtered and remineralized water for bottling and sale. Ozonation technology is essential in this industry, as it allows for water disinfection without leaving biocidal residues, without altering its composition and taste, and with total hygienic assurance.
In addition to being a powerful biocide generated in situ, it enables the removal of heavy metals and organic matter.
ZonoSistem manufactures compact ozonation plants for easy and efficient integration into this industry. Ozone plants operate automatically, maintaining constant doses and recording data.
Disinfect Bottled Water with a Residue-Free Technology
Ozone reduces the consumption of detergents, hot and cold water, and energy
Ozone is generated on-site, there is no need to store or transport chemicals
Ozone leaves no residue, does not alter your recipe and reduces spills
The system works automatically, does not require labor
Why Use Ozone to Disinfect Bottled Water?
Advantages of Using Ozone in Bottled Water

Guaranteed Water Disinfection
Ozone is a powerful oxidant, and when dissolved in water, it quickly eliminates all types of pathogens with a much higher level of effectiveness than conventional systems. Additionally, unlike UV systems, it keeps hydraulic surfaces disinfected.
Removal of Heavy Metals and Organic Matter
Ozone effectively oxidizes organic matter and heavy metals present in water, leaving no residues and ensuring the highest water quality.
No waste, without altering your recipe
Ozone has a very high disinfection potential, but it has a low residual effect (it does not last over time). It transforms into oxygen after a few minutes and prevents your recipe from being altered.
More profitable and less risk
If you save chemicals, water, time and energy every day, you are reducing your operating costs. Also, your system will be more reliable and your customers will appreciate as you will reduce the risks of your products being contaminated by chemicals.
What type of Ozone Generator is used for bottled water?
Below we show you the ranges of ozone generators to use in your bottled water system.
1. What is the difference between the ranges?
The main difference between the ranges is that the HIDRO VT includes a pressurized contact and mixing tank, allowing water to be treated inline directly, without the need for recirculation in a tank. This range is recommended for projects where there is no buffer tank.
On the other hand, the HIDRO V range is designed to treat water storage tanks before bottling.
3. How much ozone do I need?
To ensure water disinfection, it is recommended to maintain a constant ozone dose between 0.2 and 0.4 ppm.
To achieve this, an injected dose of 1.5 to 2 ppm is required.
