1. What kind of ozone generator?

The ozone generator for agricultural irrigation must have an Oxygen Concentrator so it can achieve high concentrations of ozone. This will allow you to quickly disinfect and purify, and oxygenate.

2. How much Ozone do I need?

The first thing is to know the Irrigation Flow. We recommend 1gO3/h of "real" ozone for every m3/h of irrigation water, 
 If you have 35m3/h of irrigation, you will need 35gO3/h of ozone.
However, the dose can be raised to 1.5 ppm for highly contaminated water, and lowered to 0.5 ppm for better quality water.

3. Which ozone control?

If you want to control the amount of ozone you inject into your crop, or if you have many irrigation sectors with different flow rates and pressures, we recommend an Automatic Control with Redox measurement. This system modulates the power and maintains a constant level of ozone in irrigation.
If you want to be able to monitor and control the system from your mobile phone you will need a device with Remote Control. If your sectors have similar flows and pressures, you can go for Manual Control. It will inject a fixed amount of ozone.

4. Do I need a contact tower?

The equipment has a pump and a Venturi that are used to inject it into the pressurized irrigation line.
If the equipment has a contact Tower it will allow homogenizing the ozone dilution, and it will also provide a minimum contact time. If your water has some quality, you can replace the tower with a Static Mixer, and save some money. Still, if your economy allows it, do not hesitate to buy a contact tower equipment.

5. Do I need an ozone leak sensor?

For the safety of the operators and the equipment itself, it is very important that the ozone generator you buy has a Ozone Leak Meter. Ozone is a powerful oxidant, and can harm people and equipment inside the room where the ozone generator is located. Safety first and for all.
